5 Type I [1940 50 øre overprint on 5 øre Numeral; 1940 Overprint Type I] Mint, very lightly hinged, with F-VF+ centering. A bright and fresh example of a scarce stamp that is missing from many collections. (I guarantee this stamp is genuine. It is not a stamp that normally requires a certificate, however, if you wish to have a certificate, for the reduced cost of only $20 I will supply a Jay Smith certificate with "Lifetime" Guarantee. Allow an extra week for processing.) [Overprint Type I has 12.75 mm spacing, a crisp impression, and solid black numerals. 6 Type I [1940 60 øre overprint on 6 øre Numeral] Used with XF-Superb centering and wonderful, nearly perfectly centered, VAAG 11 January 1941 town cancellation. This high denomination stamp was mostly used on parcel cards and money orders where the cancellations were seldom so nicely struck. An outstanding example -- the nicest I have had in quite some time. |
