Åland: Gutter Pairs: Full Gutter Strips

All Åland gutter pairs are VF and fresh. For each issue that has gutter pairs, there are at least two types of gutter pairs (with number and either without number or with emblem). A few issues had a third type (with date). The 1999 Lichens issue was the first (and only, at the time) to have "decorated" (different for each pair in the gutter strip) gutters; this started again in 2004 and is continuing for the moment.

The 1999 Lichens issue was the first Åland gutter pairs issue to have a "decorated" gutter. Decorated gutters then appeared regularly starting with the 2004 Olympics issue. The highly decorated gutter of the 2004 Christmas issue, with a bird and a cat, resulted in great interest in collecting Åland gutter full strips. Some are already quite difficult to obtain; the 2004 Christmas issue is now very scarce.
