11, 12, 15 (perforations and margins trimmed off by custom of "polite society") [2, 3, and 16 skilling Royal Emblems] on RARE 3 June 1867 cover received in LIBAU (Cyrillic LEPAYA), LATVIA, on 26 May. Russian-controlled Latvia used the Julian calendar, thus the letter was "received before it was sent". DAKA lists (at DKK 12,000!) only one 21 skilling rate to Russia and makes no mention of covers with that rate known to the much more sought-after Baltic collecting area of Latvia. Though has a virtually invisible archival crease affecting the #15, is overall a very attractive and colorful cover with #181 duplex railway cancellation.
