Denmark #70 pair [1905 5 øre Christian IX] (F-VF) on 14 June 1906 SPLIT-BACK picture post card (København City Hall Plaza) from LINDERSKOV to the U.S. The post card rate to the U.S. was 10 øre, however, split-back post cards (or any message on the address side) was not approved by the UPU between most countries until 1 October 1907. (Such cards with the proper 20 øre franking are actually scarce.) Danish rounded-box (wider than tall) "T." and double-lined octagonal-box "12 1/2 cts." [UPU gold centimes special "currency" for calculating postal rate interchange] handstamps. "NEW YORK / F / DUE 5 CENTS" machine postmark. U.S. pre-canceled (as typical) 5 cent postage due stamp applied at Omaha, Nebraska. A very nice example.

45 or 45a [1895 or 1902 10 øre Arms] (VF) on unusual picture post card to Italy. No date, however since the card back is not divided, the card likely dates from before 1907 and probably before 1901. Worn corners on the card, but it is a very unusual style and color of card from Denmark. Unusual destination for this time period.
