Many of the covers in this "Various and Unsorted" section have minimal descriptions. However, that does not mean that they are unworthy. There are many very interesting and scarce items here.

Stampless 26 September 1929 Postförskottsanvisning / Postiennakko-osoitus (cash on delivery proof of payment card) used within JOENSUU for 281.70 mk; left-side coupon has been clipped as usual with cards. Blue boxed postal handstamps: "RETOUR" (return to sender), "TAKAISIN" (refund), and on the reverse "EI LUNASTETTU" (not redeemed). This is NOT the usual type of COD parcel card; this card is the evidence that a payment was made. However, the recipient of the payment did not accept / redeem the payment; the card was returned; the payer was refunded. This type of card is extremely scarce; probably because they bore no stamps (the card was the second part of the original request for payment; the stamps were on the first part) and/or because they were usually retained by the post office or discarded. I cannot recall having another example of such a refunded COD payment card in 34 years! Very scarce and interesting postal history item.
