10c [40p Ribbed Paper (very faint), Roulette II] Used with VF appearance and usual tooth problems, but with two hidden tears (not visible from front). Absolutely perfectly centered and perfectly struck JAKOBSTAD 12 September 1874 "arc" style cancellation. If this stamp did not have the hidden tears, it might fetch as much as $1000 for the quality of the postmark!
12 [5p Laid Paper, Roulette III] Mint no gum (as usual). Attractive centering. Couple teeth missing and a couple others creased, as usual. Nice, fresh looking example.

32 Aniline Red. Used VF light LOVI(SSA) 2-ring cancel. Prominent plate scratch across entire design through lower "PENNI": Facit #21v3. Rarely offered. Wonderful example.
46 [1891 1k Russian Design with Rings] Used VF 8-BLOCK on piece with 20 July 1909 "KPXP No 20" railway cancellations. Used blocks of this issue larger than four stamps are scarce (somewhat because the perforations on this issue are so weak; thus why this block should be left on piece) and "Rings" stamps with readable railway cancellations are fairly scarce. Priced barely more than the value of the 8 single stamps!
101 [1917 1 mk Red and Black M-17 Saarinen Lion] "Mirror Print" proof on tissue paper. A spectacular and terribly unusual type of proof. Top margin vertical pair.

Finland #165 [1930 60p Gray M-30 Lion] Used F-VF with ÅLAND "MARIEHAMN" 20 December 1930 Superb cancellation. Such complete strikes are seldom seen on M-30 stamps.

234 [1941 1.75 mk President Ryti] NH VF "Watermark Transition" vertical pair. Top stamp has wide watermark spacing (Facit #247vm2) but at the bottom of the bottom stamp part of the close spacing watermark shows (Facit #247vm1). I believe that there is one such transition row per sheet of stamps. Such pairs are remarkably scarce.

C9 Type II Non-Fluorescent/whitish (Facit #583IIv1, HaP paper; 13 shading lines in the zeros). Originally issued as Type I with 16 shading lines in the zeros, in 1963 on non-fluorescent TeP paper and then in 1965 on whitish (non) fluorescent HaP paper. Re-engraved in 1973 with 13 shading lines in the zeros (and other differences), first printed on the whitish (non) fluorescent HaP paper (this stamp!) and then, less than a year later, in 1974 on yellow fluorescent EGpQ coated paper. The 1973 printing was little known to collectors and was not distributed through the usual "new issue" channels; they were virtually all consumed for postage before many collectors knew they existed. As a result, this has become one of the rarest, if not the rarest, modern Finnish stamp in mint condition. Furthermore, well-centered examples are very scarce. Mint hinged F-VF, fresh and nice!

M8, Facit #F8 [1963 Military] NH VF. Soldiers were allocated only 5 stamps each for use during the training maneuvers for which these stamps were issued; the stamps were apparently supplied to the soldiers in advance and then could be used by family members, etc., to send letters to the soldiers. Pristine and bright.

M8, Facit #F8 [1963 Military] NH Superb. Soldiers were allocated only 5 stamps each for use during the training maneuvers for which these stamps were issued; the stamps were apparently supplied to the soldiers in advance and then could be used by family members, etc., to send letters to the soldiers. While this stamp is usually found with VF centering, perfectly centered examples such as this are quite scarce.
M8, Facit #F8 [1963 Military] NH Superb vertical 8-block, right margin with printing registration guidelines. Soldiers were allocated only 5 stamps each for use during the training maneuvers for which these stamps were issued; the stamps were apparently supplied to the soldiers in advance and then could be used by family members, etc., to send letters to the soldiers. Thus there should be no units larger than 5 stamps. Multiples are scarce, but 5-strips and occasionally a 4-block are seen. However, units larger than 5 are rare and should not exist in private hands. I first obtained a unit larger than 5 stamps in 2000 or 37 years after their issuance! A wonderful block! The break-up value of this Superb block is $1480, however, this item is much scarcer than that!

M9 (M8 with 1983 overprint), Facit #F9 [1983 Military overprint] VF on attractive cover with 22 April 1983 proper cancellations (the stamp was valid from 20 April) and with proper military receiving cancellation on reverse. M9 covers are often on larger envelopes or are not attractive; this example is especially nice.
