433, 435 (Facit #492, 494) on 24 November 1972 registered air cover to the U.S. Total franking 35 kr. The registry fee was 16 kr, the balance of 19 kr is probably for 15 grams -- but (my copy of) the Flack book seems to have some problems in this year with duplicated or incorrectly labeled tables. The 30 kr stamp is quite scarce on cover.

445 [1972 40 kr Hothouse Roses] (VF) on 11 August ???? printed matter MOURNING cover, within REYKJAVIK (local rate had already been discontinued). Year date not showing in postmark. Most likely used 11 August 1977 when the 40 kr rate was correct; this was typical practice in a time of high inflation.

466 [1974 25 kr 14th century illumination from book of Flately; soldiers with weapons] (VF) solo use on 30 September 1975 airmail picture post card to the U.S. with "REYKJAVIK 1" machine cancel. This 25 kr air post card rate (all countries outside Europe) was only in use 1 January - 30 September 1975; this is the last day of the rate. This nine-month rate is scarce as are solo frankings of this stamp. Genuine tourist mail use of "Iceland Stamps" picture post card.
