Hand-written "Eg" insured label. Insured for 105 kroner; probably a money letter, though is not marked "talið" (counted). Correct rate: 50 aur for letter postage to 20 grams plus 150 aur insurance fee (up to 300 kronur). Inconsequential light crease and tiny opening tears. Icelandic insured covers, especially before 1960, are extremely scarce. Solo uses of this stamp are also very scarce. |
