2 [1873 4 skilling Perf 14 x 13.5] Used F-VF+ centered, with neat sans-serif (REYKJ)AVIK cancellation. Cancellations types of this style can be used in period or after period, however, there is not enough of the cancel present to see the usual indicators to determine period of use. Thus I must assume that this example was used after the proper period and have priced it as such. Despite this, the stamp is a an extremely nice looking example with unusually intense, deep color. Facit 2012 value for in-period use is SEK 9000 = US$1350 or after-period SEK 950 = US$140 [09/2012], however, after-period examples seldom look this nice. |
