I am constantly buying large and small collections and have built up quite a stock of nice, clean Scandinavian country collections. If you are considering getting into a new area and would like a "starter collection" (whether small or large), let me know about your interest. Also, if you are seeking used binders or used empty albums to match what you currently have, again, let me know. Here are a few samples of collections. The listings below are included by happenstance. If you are seeking a particular country or type of material, please let me know. Payment plans are available. I guarantee your satisfaction.
Due to the low prices and variation in weight, shipping cost is additional for items in the Specials Collections listings unless otherwise mentioned. When ordering please include a note in the shopping cart comments section indicating if you prefer faster/costlier or slower/cheaper delivery so that I may more quickly quote the shipping costs and options for you.
Each item is one of a kind; orders will be filled in order of receipt. Payment by MasterCard or Visa suggested, but I will hold items for 10 days pending receipt of check if you prefer.
Sweden 1855-1997 Large Collection in Scott Album: Substantial collection attractively presented on Scott Specialty 2-post pages (running to 1999) in Scott Specialty 2.75-inch 2-post binder. As usual the earliest issues are Used and in mixed quality, but start with a #2 with a minor perf fault but perfectly centered HEDEMORA cancellation. In the mid-1930s the collection changes over to Mint Hinged with almost all VF and by the 1970s to NH VF. Though some time periods are spotty, there are a lot of stamps here and a lot of catalog value. The Scott 2008 value total about $1500. The stamps to 1929 total about $365. From 1930-67 about $435. And from 1968 to 1997 about $590 (and these usually sell for a high percentage of catalog value because they tend to have a lot of face value). The back-of-book stamps total about $70. Many, perhaps most, of the stamps (and all of the NH stamps) are in neatly applied black Showgard mounts and mounts are present in many cases even if the stamps are not (saving you a lot of time and expense). The binder is in very nice condition and the album pages are neat and clean (a previous owners name is on the reverse of some pages as a security measure, but that can be covered over readily). This is a terrific opportunity to start a Swedish collection or to greatly expand (and give a new album home to) an existing collection.

Sweden Modern Postal Stationery Collection: Terrific collection of approximately 70 1970s-1995 Swedish postal stationery items, including MANY VERY SCARCE ITEMS. All VF, about 70% Mint and 30% FDC including some very scarce FDC items. Included are SLANIA issues, Europa, almost-unheard-of Bingo-Berra (Bear) Lottery Card Sheet, and much more. Includes several items of which only a few thousand were printed and which I have never seen offered by any other dealer. Total of my prices would come out about at about $260-290. This is a terrific start on a modern Swedish stationery collection and is a SUPER VALUE. (Old #30030)
Sweden Cancellations on Piece: Very interesting clippings (many nearly full coupon size, see illustration) from money orders, parcel cards, and cash-on-delivery cards ranging from about 1948 to 1960. The clippings are all clean and neat (not torn). Many show nice cancellations (but not all). Additionally quite a few have nice postmark strikes on the reverse (see one illustrated) also. Sure there is duplication and sure some cancels are not clear. However, overall this should yield a lot of collectable pieces. (If they were full cards, they would run $4-8 each!) Offered in 6 ounce packages, buy one or several -- for more collecting fun. Approximately 360 pieces per package, just over 5 cents per piece. Only 8 packages available. (Old #30134)

Sweden METAL Handstamp Town Postmarks on 1996-97 Covers: Starting early in 1996, Swedish postmarking dramatically changed to virtually all mail being canceled at (then) 19 regional "Postterminal" centers. Only some letters handed to postal clerks were postmarked at local post offices. Suddenly small town and village postmarks became "rare". Additionally, use of small-size envelopes is very limited -- perhaps less than 5% of all mail. Of a large archive of small-size envelopes I purchased, fewer than 5% were handstamped and only half of those were readable (net is less than 1% of all mail). This offer is for 50 DIFFERENT METAL TOWN POSTMARKS on 1996-97 covers with the then-current animal series. ALL covers are small-size and neat, with readable to superb postmarks (picture is just a random sample). (Old #30164)
