Finland / Sweden Joint Issue Blackprint and Special Souvenir Sheets. In 2006 Finland and Sweden jointly celebrated the Sveaborg / Suomenlinna Fortress. A special folder was prepared, containing: Special souvenir sheet versions of both the Finnish and Swedish panes and a blackprint of the engraved portions of the design.

Sweden Publicity Proofs were produced by the post office for the purpose of informing the media and thus the public about upcoming stamp issues. These are avidly sought after by collectors of Sweden, collectors of the different stamp engravers -- including many nice Slania-engraved designs -- and thematic collectors. All of them are scarce.
Several collections, albums, and literature have been added to the Specials section.
Many Slania-engraved Monaco items have been added or restocked, including souvenir cards, imperforate stamps and souvenir sheets, used stamps, and some interesting new proofs.
Spain Slania-Engraved Nobel Prize Winners Items have been added to the blackprint sheets, alternating 4-block and pairs.

Iceland 2009 Die Cut Stamps: A New "Discovery". The 2009 die-cut stamps, Europa and Christmas issues, were made as a special version in which the die-cutting punches all the way through the backing paper, thus the serpentine die-cutting (simulated perforations) is clean and neat.

** UPDATE ** Virtually Unkown Norwegian 2008 Souvenir Sheet. I have now confirmed that the quantity printed and distributed was only 275,000 (as suspected, the possible 375,000 figure was a typographical error). I have also confirmed that the souvenir sheet was free of charge to people in Oslo and in other cities around Norway, sometimes literally on the street and sometimes in post offices. Because the souvenir sheet was NOT sold to collectors and distribution was wide, but one to a person, these souvenir sheets are extremely difficult to obtain.
Many stamps have been added to Denmark, Finland, and Iceland. I have a lot more to add as well. If you don't find what you are seeking, PLEASE send your want list. Even though the "regular stamps" of Norway and Sweden are not yet on the website, I have comprehensive stocks of both countries. Please send your want list.
Aland Gutter Strips. It took a while for collectors to become aware of the existence of these, and dealers are not setting aside stocks of these full strips, thus I anticipate there is potential for significant price increases over time. WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN a set of album pages on either Stender format album page paper OR on standard American-size 8.5 x 11 inch paper punched for 3-ring binders? My thought is to produce pages for the 1999 Lichens issue and then from the 2004 Olympic issue to date (with subsequent supplements). The album pages could even be free to clients buying the full gutter strips. Request the 13 August 2009 E-News for full details.

Virtually Unkown Norwegian 2008 Souvenir Sheet. This souvenir sheet design marks the division of Norway Post into two parts: Posten - what we think of as the standard "post office" and Bring - a package delivery, freight, and logistics company (similar to UPS in the U.S.) that is owned by Norway Post. This souvenir sheet were distributed free of charge to people in Oslo and other cities. Because the souvenir sheet was NOT sold to collectors and distribution was wide, but one to a person, these souvenir sheets are extremely difficult to obtain.

Early Mint & NH Stamps (mostly blocks of 4) from Denmark, Faroe, Greenland, and Iceland have been added to the website. I am offering them both intact AND as their respective single stamps. This group of blocks (stamps) is quite unusual in that almost all are very well centered -- much, much nicer than usual -- with many containing superbly centered stamps. On top of that, most are never hinged! The quality of this group is really exceptional. These blocks, and the single stamps that can be purchased from them, are listed in a variety of appropriate pages on the website. A wide range of Canadian Stamps (many pages) have been added to the website, with hundreds of new listings. The additions include mint never hinged, mint hinged, and used stamps, as well as a few stamps with slight defects at very low prices.
  
The United States stamps listings have again been expanded with hundreds more attractive and fresh stamps. Of special interest is a U.S. #569 Double Transfer -- the Scott Catalog editors have not seen an example on the market for years.
The new annual AFA Denmark Catalogs have arrived. AFA catalogs are the primary catalogs used in Denmark and have the "closest to market" pricing.

A wide variety of Danish Airmail items have been added to the website, with many new pages of listings. Whether you "just collect stamps" or you delve into specialized items, semi-official airmail stamps, proofs, essays, and postal history, there is probably something here for you.
The secret Danish Cold War Emergency Stamps have been updated with the addition of the "newly found" English-language folder.
United States listings have again been expanded with hundreds more attractive and fresh stamps. Also, the United States web pages have been reorganized (so that the pages load faster) into smaller, Scott number range pages.
A huge new Norwegian Revenue Stamp Catalog is available either on CD with color pictures or as a printed book (which also includes the CD). Only 6 copies of the printed book remain!

New printed price lists of all -- and only -- the items on the website are available. The printed price lists do not include the illustrations. The printed price lists are updated regularly; at least as often as the website updates noted here.
There are separate lists for Scandinavia, Slania-Engraved, U.S. & World, and U.S.-Only Stamps. Please only request the lists you actually need. Please read this if you are in the U.S. or Canada or this if you are in another country. Then send an email and please specifically state if you want the Scandinavia, Slania, U.S. & World, or U.S.-Only price lists. (Repeated non-specific requests will probably be ignored.)
Please note that these lists only include what you see listed on this website and are provided simply as a convenience. If you what you are seeking is not shown on the website, then please send your want list rather than just requesting a price list. Clients who send want lists always have access to the freshest stock and new items as they come in.
For U.S. and Canadian Clients...
The first copy of printed price lists will be sent to U.S. and Canadian clients at no charge. Further updates can be sent, upon request, at no charge to those clients actively making purchases or who send want lists. Otherwise there may be a postage charge for further updates -- these lists cost several dollars each to print and mail.
For Overseas Clients...
Unfortunately, due to the large number of requests received from overseas people who seem to just collect "free price lists" -- and because a) all the information the lists contain is on this website and b) the overseas airmail postage cost is very high -- there will be a $10 shipping charge (payable by MasterCard, Visa, PayPal, cash, US$ check, etc.) for price lists sent to overseas addresses. A $10 credit voucher will be included with the price lists and will be valid on any purchase of $50 or more.

| To meet my own need for catalog number concordances, I have finally started publishing comprehensive catalog number concordances for the Scandinavian countries. At this moment only DWI, Greenland, and Iceland are ready (the later two only up to 1995, so far). However, I will be preparing these bidirectional catalog number concordances for all the Scandinavian countries and eventually will include the other specialized catalogs as well. Reservations are welcomed. These are very inexpensive (considering the labor required to make them) and are published loose-leaf. An attractive binder is available. I intend to update the concordances annually; subscriptions are available. Though these have only been available for a few weeks, they have been a great hit. You will find them extremely useful! |

They are loose pages; please be aware that there is no room for binding -- you will have to figure out for yourself how to bind or otherwise manage them. The pricing is by country. There are sometimes conflicts involving back-to-back countries, thus I am offering the pages a number of different ways to compensate for this. Supply is very limited. This is the Baltimore area's major annual show and is one of the World Series of Philately shows. Always well-run and in a nice, comfortable facility, this show is very easy to get to. There is an excellent range of dealers and interesting exhibits.
We WILL be bringing our stock of Scandinavia (and others), including classic stamps, booklets, classic and modern covers, recent issues, year packs, and more. However, we can't bring absolutely everything.
