When you want the best economical home for your Scandinavian stamp collections, ask for Stender Albums. Stender Albums have been crafted in Denmark since before WWII and have an excellent reputation. They are the only albums available for all the Scandinavian countries that are designed and made in Scandinavia. This makes a difference -- the album page layouts, and what is included on the pages, simply make more sense! I urge you to compare Stender Albums with any other album -- I think that you will be impressed with Stender's quality and my low prices. The paper and printing are exactly the same for both the pages with and without mounts. Like many high-quality albums, the pages have slots at the binding side to help the pages lay flat. The binders are simple screw-post binders (no complicated mechanisms to break) and have the country name imprinted in gold on the spine. The binders are in a different single color for each country. Images of representative pages are shown at the bottom of this page.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PREVIOUS STENDER ALBUM USERS Superb/Deluxe BINDERS and the album sets using Superb/Deluxe BINDERS are NO LONGER AVAILABLE. During COVID, the publisher of Stender Albums informed us that their manufacturer for the Superb/Deluxe binders and Superb/Deluxe slip cases had suddenly sold out to another company without advance notice, and that the new company discontinued making the Superb/Deluxe binders and slip cases. We purchased all remaining stock of Stender Superb/Deluxe binders and slip cases that the Stender publisher had, but all the binders have now sold out and only a few slip cases are still available. Though the Quality binders continue to be available, the Stender publisher has, so far, been unable to come up with an alternative premium-style binder to replace the Superb/Deluxe binders; the tooling cost for making the necessary metal mechanism is apparently not economically viable. This means that Superb/Deluxe binders or Superb/Deluxe complete albums with binders ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. I am sorry for this situation, but it has been completely out of our control. Note: When we purchase collections, we are sometimes able to obtain gently used Stender binders and slip cases. Because they are of varying ages, from different production runs, their color shade and surface texture varies. If you might be interested in any such items please let use know of your interest. The previously available "Quality" style binder continues to be available, though there has been some changes over the years in which colors are assigned to which countries. The Quality binder style is pictured at the top of this page. Quality binders have the country name imprinted on the spine. Each country's Quality binder is available in only one standard color; see the Quality albums and binders listing for that binder color information. The Quality binders are less costly than were the Superb/Deluxe binders. Despite the change in binders, the hingeless (previously called "Superb"; pages WITH mounts) page sets are now just called "hingeless" and are still available. The hingeless pages perfectly fit in the currently available binders. |

Denmark first page. Note that the major color differences are included. More specialized varieties, that are of interest to only some collectors, are included in a group of "variety" pages. Iceland page. Showing presentation of modern issues. Sweden page. In the case of stamps like the typical Swedish booklet panes and pairs, Stender albums show both the complete pane/pair and the component singles. In the example below, the first two rows contain coil stamps. The third row contains both the pair and component singles of one issue. The remainder of the page shows a block and its component singles. Blank page. Only a blank page with border only is illustrated. Use this type of page to add covers and other interesting items to your collection. (A page with gray underprint / quadrille is not illustrated because the quadrille is so lightly colored that it will not show up. Quadrilled pages do not have an outer border line.) |
