| Åland Machine Stamps are dispensed from machines manufactured by the Frama company, thus the name FRAMA stamps. These are real postage stamps, not meters or labels. They are valid from any location in Aland, at any time, by any mailer. (Unlike meter imprints which are only valid from the location and on the date imprinted, by the licensed user.) These stamps are collected in "rate sets", the most commonly used postage rates for which the machines had pre-set purchase options. The dates are the first dates that the respective design was available in the respective postage rate period. The older FRAMA stamps are also available; please send your want list. | ||
