33 [1905 20 bit Christian IX] (VF) 4-BLOCK on 30 October 1912 commercial REGISTERED cover from ST. THOMAS to Germany, with HAMBURG 18 November 1912 backstamp. Facit 2018 value for ordinary use of a single is SEK 1800 = $215 [10/2018]. No catalog provide any value guidance for DWI used blocks, however, in my experience used blocks of this stamp are quite scarce; off cover this block would likely be valued around $125. This is most certainly a commercial use; the envelope is very heavy paper, with a wax seal, that was almost only used for registered covers with substantial contents. Very attractive and scarce.

34 [1905 25 bit Christian IX] (F-VF) on 19 March 1917 commercial cover from ST. THOMAS to the U.S. Used less than two weeks before the U.S. purchase of the islands, this is remarkably late genuine commercial use of this stamp issue. Backside of envelope with some mounting damage, but the scarcity of the late use is quite important. Facit 2011 value for ordinary use is SEK 1000 = $145 [1/2011].

35, 36, 45 [1905 40 and 50 bit Christian IX, 1908 15 bit Frederik VII] (VF, F-VF) on 29 January 1917 REGISTERED cover from ST. THOMAS to the U.S., with violet St. Thomas registry mark Type 9, with U.S. receivers. Furthermore, the 50 bit bears AFA plate variety #29x [colored vertical line in lower left margin, position 88 in the sheet]. Scarce use of these denominations and scarce combination. The Facit 2017 on-cover values for the stamps are SEK 3000, 3500, and 1500, respectively. Very handsome and colorful cover in excellent quality.
