Denmark: Christmas Seals - National: Official Reprints 1960-1979
The full listing of Danish Christmas seals is still under development. However, I have a very comprensive stock and will be happy to send approvals from your want list. Please let me know of your interest.
Officially issued Christmas Seal Reprints have been printed -- and are normally collected -- in sheets of ten seals. They have been officially issued by the Danish Christmas Seal Fund (under the sponsorship of H.K.H. Kronprinsesse Mary) which is in charge of all matters relating to the Danish national TB / Christmas seals. The front of the sheet indicates the year of reprinting, in Danish, such as "Nytryk 1976". The back of each seal also bears the year of reprinting, in English, such as "Reprint 1976". The reprinting started in 1976 and still continues every year, normally with old two years reprinted in each new year. This been done from the 1904 issue so far up into the 1970s. When reprints have sold out, they have been re-reprinted in a new year along with the two normally scheduled reprints. Though these are usually collected as sheets of ten, I am happy to offer singles if I have a damaged sheet.
Additionally, between 1976 and 2001, nine souvenir sheet reprints have been officially issued in conjunction with stamp shows. These have mostly consisted of five seals: One oversize design and four normal size seals, as well as marginal text. They are presented in the listings by the original year of the design.
Even if the items you seek are not currently available, please send your want list so that I may advise you when they become available. All items are available for viewing on approval. If you wish to build your collection by receiving a few of these on approval every month, I would be happy to send them.
