Scott #2 Type I, Facit #4I, AFA #2A, Daka GF10 2017 #4 [2 May 1941 (1st Printing) 20 øre overprint on 1 øre Wavy-Line Numeral] NEVER HINGED with Fine centering. Very fresh and bright. The Type I overprint was issued 2 May 1941 (the second printing was issued 28 May 1941). Type I has 12 mm spacing between the 20s, measured from right side to right side of the "0" numerals in the overprint (Type II has 13 mm spacing). The Type II stamps are scarcer. Completely NH and absolutely no defects, but offered at a very low price because of the centering. For comparison, Type I NH VF would be $70! ACTUAL item. |

Very fresh and bright with well-centered stamp and well-centered overprint. The Type II overprint was the result of a second printing, issued 28 May 1941 (the first printing was issued 2 May 1941). Type II has 13 mm spacing between the 20s, measured from right side to right side of the "0" numerals in the overprint (Type I has 12 mm spacing). Scott #3 OVERPRINT VARIETY, Daka GF10 2017 #5æ [1941 20 øre overprint on 5 øre Wavy-Line Numeral] Mint, lightly hinged, with Superb centering, but WITH A THIN in the hinge area. Very fresh and bright, with "perfect" centering. Daka-listed "POINTED BOTTOM OF RIGHT BAR" overprint variety from position 92 in the sheet. (There is a somewhat similar variety that has additional damage to the inside edge of the right bar, from position 42, but this is not that variety.) This beautiful stamp without the overprint variety, but with this Superb centering and hinged would be $65 -- and the variety it would have been $80. This example, with the thin, is offered at a very reasonable price. ACTUAL item. |
