Sepia-printed-photo mint picture post card showing a view from Norderøerne (North Island) with cattle on a steep hillside. (Cards picturing cattle are unusual; sheep are more typical.) Printed by E and S of København, with the statement "Sælges til Fordel for Fonden til Hjælp for Døvstumme" (Sold for the benefit of the Fund to Help the Deaf and Dumb [hearing impaired and non-speaking].) While I am not a post card specialist, I have not before seen any Danish or Faroese cards for this organization. The printing style of the card suggests that it dates from the last 1930s to the early 1950s. ACTUAL item. |
