Faroe Scott #1 [1919 2 øre Overprint on 5 øre Christian X] Used with F-VF centering, but rounded upper left corner perforation. The cancellation is remarkably light and neat, but does appear to be the correct type of Thorshavn cancellation normally used on this stamp issue in January 1919. Overall very nice appearance; most people might not immediately notice the upper left corner perforation. Accompanied by a Jay Smith color certificate with lifetime guarantee. Very pretty and with an unusually low price for this stamp! Other than for the corner tooth, this would be around $400. ACTUAL item. |
