B31-3 [1938 Skiing Competition semi-postal] VF registered FDC to Sweden. Crease between the stamps; not affecting the stamps and not obvious. The Swedes often did not backstamp registered mail such as this, but the violet "Aviserad" postal stamps on the front indicates that the local Swedish post office notified the recipient that they had mail to pick up; the marking is actually very scarce. Nice round stamp dealer advertising label on reverse. I have only had a few examples of this scarce FDC in 43 years. ACTUAL item. |
