10-18 [1945 "American Issue" without overprint] Used with VF to F-VF centering. Complete set, all with various parts of the "GRØLANDS POSTKONTOR / KØBENHAVN K" cancellation used at the Greenland office in København. This was a legitimate post office; while the cancel is often philatelically applied, one could mail letters and packages from Denmark to Greenland at this office and they would receive this postmark. Most of the canceled examples of this issue on the market bear cancellations from this office which were used all through the period of normal use. Used F-VF sets are normally $315 and Used VF normally $387. ACTUAL item. |
