Q6 [1915 20 øre Pakke-Porto, Perforation 11.25; probably Print VI] Used VF+ with VF+ strike of 2-line "Udstedet / Kaerssut" village cancellation in black (Wowern 1981 GF1 #63.01) -- a scarcer postmark. The stamp has Wowern plate variety "Fe", flattened top frame line at left corner. Wonderful centering and very neat cancellation, but one minor blunted perforation tooth at left. Such nice strikes of village cancellations are scarce!

Scott #Q8a, Facit #P11 [1930 1 kroner Pakke-Porto, Perf 11.5, Original design with irregular lines in background around bear] Used with XF centering and perfect perforations. VF struck single-word black "Marmorilik" (Wowern #59.01) village cancellation. While this particular village cancellation is fairly unusual (though not rare), it is scarce so nicely struck. An excellent example of this cancellation.

Scott #Q4, Facit #P13 [1937 10 øre Pakke-Porto, Perf 10.75, Schultz Printing] Used with Superb centering, but with heavy staining on reverse (similar in appearance to fish or seal blood stains I have seen on a few Greenlandic items) that is only just barely visible from the front. A wonderful, with fully readable text and a clearly visible bear, and "rare" strike of the violet, vertical double-oval "bear in shield" "Kolonien Sukkertoppen" (Sugar Top, now Maniitsoq) village cancellation (Wowern #24.06). This style of cancellation -- from any village -- is "rare". Furthermore, any village cancellation on the 1937 Perf 10.75 (Schultz Printing) stamps is at least "scarce" and most are "rare". The stain on the reverse and the sideways position of the cancellation suggest that this may be a genuine, non-philatelic use. While this may have been a philatelically inspired cancellation strike, it is rarely seen in any context. I believe that this is the first example of this postmark that I have been able to offer in 52 years.
