The date is faint, but may be 18 January 1942. The type of postmark was mostly used on unfranked (free) soldiers envelopes, but is found from time to time on Finnish-stamped and Karelian-stamps envelopes. Any such examples are virtually always non-philatelic. Examples of Karelian stamps with this postmark are rarely offered. ACTUAL item. |
