Postal Card #5 [1920 Zone 1 (With Overprint) 10 pf] USED, WITH A DANISH STAMP, AFTER VALIDITY OF THE CARD, BUT FROM A TOWN THAT WAS IN THE PLEBISCITE AREA. Denmark Scott #102 [1913 15 øre violet Christian X] (F-VF) placed on top of the Slesvig indicia -- but offset enough to clearly understand the overprinted indicia underneath -- and used on 30 March 1921 from KLIPLEV, a small village in the Aabenraa municipality, located in what was Zone 1 during the plebiscite; to Viborg. The postal validity of the Zone 1 stamps and postal cards ended 15 July 1920, thus this sender used a Danish stamp to mail the card. A completely proper and legitimate business correspondence use. (This card would be quite scarce if it had been used in the plebiscite period of validity.) Very interesting and attractive. The only such Danish-franked use of a Zone 1 card that I have had in 53 years!
