Davo France Album (Volume II binder) - Pages 1961-1992: Attractive blue CLOTH-covered 2-post album, by Davo, titled in gold "FRANCE" (and "II" on the spine), with colorful coat of arms on front and spine. This cloth-covered binder is from 1980s or early 1990s. The binder is used and serviceable -- extremely useful if you already have some like it. The pages are heavily used with black mounts. I do not know if you will want the pages included or not (they do not have to be shipped if you do not want them). The price is really only for the binder itself. I know somebody will find it useful.

Harris Liberty U.S. Album for 1847-1976 Containing Modest Collection: Traditional 2.5-inch 2-post Harris Liberty United States singles album with pages 1847-1976 (BUT NO AIRS OR BACK OF BOOK PAGES), plus some additional pages 1984//1989 pages made my Mystic (appears to be made for purpose). The pages contain a neat, but very modest collection of a few hundred mostly used stamps. The earliest stamp is from the 1880s but the collection is very sparse until the mid-1920s. From their the collection expands, with most lower-cost stamps present 1930s-1970s. Then it trails off again, with just a few 1980s stamps. The quality of the stamps is actually fairly nice. The binder itself is still strong, with just a little bit of interior spine splitting. The outer front and spine look excellent, but the outer back is soiled (but might clean up okay with a little work) -- but that is not usually visible anyway. The pages are generally clean and neat with some stamps hinged and others in mounts, as well as some loose not yet mounted. There are three ways of looking at this offering -- and the price is okay for any ONE of the three: 1) You could look at this as an expansion binder with some extras. 2) Or you could look at this as a page set with some extras. 3) Lastly, you could look at this as a modest collection of stamps plus some extras. Whichever way you look at it, the price is still okay -- and if you can look at it as two or all three ways, the price is excellent. [From a mailing cost perspective, assume this will require a USPS Medium Flat Rate Priority Mail Box which is $18 with handling, but some other stuff might also fit in that flat-rate box if you want to add to your order.]

Kabe United States 1932-1997 Hingeless Album in Three Springback Binders: A complete KABE United States 1932-1997 album with clear stamp mounts factory installed. This German-made album was the ultimate in a high-quality album. I believe that the first part of this album was purchased in the 1980s and then regularly supplemented (or later purchased as an additional unit) through 1997. The pages are very heavy card stock, with linen-double-hinging for ease of page turning and excellent lay-flat use. These pages -- if they were made any longer -- would likely cost a few dollars PER PAGE nowadays! These are not the "economy style" pages that one finds these days. The pages are very gently used in the first volume and virtually like-new in the later two volumes. There are a couple lightly penciled catalog number notations, but that is it. Contained in THREE binders. Two binders are super-luxurious KABE padded spring-back binders (instantly openable, very easy to use and nothing to break or come out of alignment), in maroon color, without any country-specific labeling or embossing. Those two binders are LIKE-NEW and would likely cost more than $100 each if they could be purchased new today. The third KABE binder is also springback, but it is older, blue in color, and with "DEUTSCHLAND" (Germany) imprint on front and spine. The third binder perfectly well holds the pages, but just does not match the appearance of the other two -- I have NOT attributed any value for the third in the price for this album set. This album was very gently used -- the owner had only put a few stamps into it before he had to stop collecting. (It includes some 3-cent era stamps at no additional cost.) If you have looked into the cost of a new U.S. hingeless album, you know that they are in the hundreds of dollars. This is a terrific deal, offered for far less than the sum of the components. SPECIAL NOTE: Apparently the collector was no longer able to get the KABE album pages after 1997. He switched to a Lighthouse album for the stamps of 1998-1999. Those Lighthouse pages and binder are offered separately, but they will be reserved for one week from the original time of this offer in case the purchaser of the KABE album would also like the Lighthouse portion.

Kenmore Russian Federation Binder: New, padded two-post binder with gold text and decoration. Should fit any of the Kenmore country or topical pages, but best suited for the USSR or Russia collection that has over-filled existing binders. New retail from Kenmore appears to be $20 each, but cannot see that they offer the this binder any more. Brand new, never used.

Kenmore 2-Post 3-Inch 3-D-Ring Brown "World Album" With Pages -- New in Package: Brand new (never used by the previous owner) Kenmore brown binder labeled "The Kenmore WORLD ALBUM". This is the 3-D-ring version of the Kenmore World album binder, 3 inches wide. This is usable for any 3-ring pages and the D-ring mechanism allows pages to lay flat. Contains pages as issued: White with light blue background and quadrille -- country names at top of pages -- one page, back and front, per country. This is intended to be a completely free-form album for beginners, but it can also be used by anybody who wants to organize worldwide stamps. Also includes a pack of matching blank pages, still in shrink-wrap.

Lighthouse Optima 4-Ring Binder with 3-vertical-column pages (often used for booklets): The Lighthouse Optima line is a mid-size binder for mid-size items, such as souvenir cards, booklets, souvenir sheets, post cards, etc. The binder is blue Optima-F binder (no slip case or sheet lifters). This binder contains 23 CLEAR 3-VERTICAL COLUMN pages which hold items measuring up to about 2 x 9.5 inches. These pages are often used for opened vending machine booklets, coil strips, stamp strips and narrow panes, etc. The pages overall measure 8.25 x 10 inches and to my knowledge only fit Optima (4-ring) binders, but once could punch them for other types of binders. These Optima-C pages are crystal clear allowing you to view both sides of each item. (You can add your own black interleaving pages to avoid see-through-to-next-item if you wish.) The new retail for the binder (with slip case sheet lifters, which this does not have) is $49.95 and the pages are $13.95/pack of 10. I estimate the new retail equivalent value at around $58. Very gently used; the binder looks brand new and though the pages had booklets in them, they look virtually new. These are not offered often in used condition (they are so useful the everybody hangs onto them), but Lighthouse still offers this product line if you want more items.

France 1960-1971 Lindner-T Hingeless Album Pages: This is the same year range as the set of 1960-71 pages currently available new (from Palo), plus a couple Council of Europa pages from this time period. If you are not familiar with Lindner-T pages... a) They only fit in Lindner albums; b) The pages are very heavy, high quality paper. Many people consider them to be the ultimate currently available; c) A plastic "page" with rows is mounted on the paper page. If you wish, you can mount used stamps directly on the paper page and put mint stamps in the plastic rows. The plastic rows allow you to see both sides of each stamp in the rows without having to remove them from the page. Very gently used; very clean and in virtually like-new condition. The current new price is $167 (new Lindner country pages are currently around $3.90 per page) for the 43-page set (the couple CoE pages would be additional).

Very gently used; very clean and in virtually like-new condition (except for four pages). However, four of the pages (all in 1991) have bad batch of plastic (has yellowed, not normal!) and are not counted in the page total. New Lindner country pages are currently around $3.90 per page; this group contains 34 pages (not counting the four yellowed pages) for a new value of about $132. Linns Blank 3-Ring Pages, Quadrilled, WHITE, Lot of 19 pages: A Linns product from well back in the day, but new old stock and still as good as such things get. 8.5 x 11 inch pages, punched for standard 3-ring. I do not know if they had more than one weight / thickness, but these seem to be very heavy weight. Off-white / cream colored with light gray quadrille with centering marks. This group does not have the brand printed in the margin, but they were packaged the same and otherwise perfectly match a black version that did have Linns branding on it. If you have some of these in your collection, I am sure you will want more. Brand new condition. LOT OF 19 PAGES.

Linns Blank 3-Ring Pages, Quadrilled, BLACK, Per 10 Pages: A Linns product from well back in the day, but new old stock and still as good as such things get. 8.5 x 11 inch pages, punched for standard 3-ring. I do not know if they had more than one weight / thickness, but these seem to be very heavy weight, certainly heavier than standard black "construction paper". Intense black paper with white quadrille with centering marks. Note: This particular type of paper is probably not "archival". While they look great, I suggest using mounts to put stamps on the pages; I would not hinge stamps directly to this type of paper. If you have some of these in your collection, I am sure you will want more. Brand new condition. GROUPS OF 10 PAGES (multiple groups available).

Harold Rice #1412 Blank 3-Ring Pages, Quadrilled, WHITE, Per 10 Pages: I had never heard of this producer until today: "Harold B. Rice brand - 1412 Quadrilles". Probably from the 1960s, but still nice "new old stock" and still as good as such things get. 8.5 x 11 inch pages, punched for standard 3-ring. I do not know if they had more than one weight / thickness, but these seem to be heavy weight. Off-white / cream colored with very light gray quadrille. If you have some of these in your collection, I am sure you will want more -- they must be "rare". If you just want a few blank 3-ring high-quality pages, these will be great. Brand new condition. Minkus Belgium and Colonies 1849-2001 Album in Two Expansion Binders (With Some Stamps): This is basically a Belgium and Colonies album set, for the stamps from the beginning in 1849 up into 2001, but it does have a few hundred stamps included (I presume mostly either common or in lesser quality). Many stamps have been neatly removed, but they were either neatly hinged or were in neatly installed still-usable black mounts. The overall appearance is neat and clean, and it is ready for a new collector. The pages are standard Minkus album pages, printed on ONLY ONE SIDE, PLUS they HAVE INTERLEAVES (that is a lot of value right there). The two matching binders are burgundy colored Minkus 2-post-in-tube expansion binders with matching burgundy, with gold imprints, "BELGIUM" labels. This style of post-in-tube binder allows the owner to easily open the album and separate the chunks of pages where desired, to add pages or reorganize pages. The post-in-tube design keeps pages aligned while the owner has the album apart. It is quite handy. There is no direct cost comparisons available for this as a new album, but based on various new album brands (without mounts) on the market that cover the 1849-2001 time period, a new album would likely cost around 350-400 with binders. This is in excellent used condition and with the included stamps, the new owner has a head start on their collection.

Scott 2-Post AND 3-ring Plastic Page Protectors - Gently Used: Plastic page protectors for Scott 2-post and 3-ring pages (Specialty, National, etc.). Open at top and left/binding edges for easy insertion of the pages (but page can only be inserted or removed when protector is NOT in binder -- pages cannot fall out when in binder). Virtually crystal clear, non-glare (very important) surface. These are very high quality protectors, unlike some that I have seen on the market. If you use Scott Specialty or National pages and have pages you wish to specially protect, these are the answer! These are very gently used pages that have been removed from a collection. Once you put in your pages in them I doubt you will be able to see any evidence of previous use! OFFERED IN GROUPS OF 10 PROTECTORS.

Scott British America Album to 1970 (WITHOUT Canada): This is a complete, genuine Scott "British America" Specialty Album (NOT INCLUDING Canada and Canadian Provinces), with pages that appear complete through the 1970 supplement. Contained in a Scott 3.25-inch 2-rectangular-post Specialty binder with "BRITISH AMERICA" gold imprinting. While this was originally sold including Canada and Provinces, the previous owner removed those pages to a separate binder. All the other original pages are present. The countries are: Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Barbuda, Bermuda, BAT, Br. Guiana, Br. Honduras, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands and the Dependencies, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Christopher, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, South Georgia, Tobago, Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands, (British) Virgin Islands. This has a 1969 copyright date and includes pages through what would have been the 1970 supplement, thus I believe that this was originally sold intact by Scott -- all the pages match perfectly. I have not been able to find any version of this specific combination of countries on the Scott (AmosAdvantage.com) website -- it appears that the countries have since been further sub-divided to make the album size and cost more manageable. This appears to be a "VERY RARE" album -- many collectors of the British Colonies like to cut off around 1970; this is perfect for that. While this is from an estate and did have stamps neatly hinged into it, all the stamps have been removed. The pages are in excellent used condition with just minor hinge remnants (that do NOT deform the pages) in the spots were stamps had been present. All the pages that I have examined are very clean, with NO writing or other problems, and NOT with damaged post holes. The binder was/is protected by the original dust jacket (now very worn after 50 years) and thus looks almost brand new for its generation, with bright gold imprinting. This is just about as close to "new" as one is likely to find for a used album of this area. If this was still available in new condition, I suspect that the new price (for these countries and with pages through 1970) would be in the range of $150-$180. As it is, because of its rarity and being such a popular collecting area, even a used album in such nice condition is likely worth that to quite a few people!

NEW
Scott "National Postage Stamp Album" Springback Binder and Linen Hinged Pages: This is a venerable, antique, COLLECTIBLE stamp album. Unless you already have one or more of this antique binder edition, this would NOT be suitable for modern use. A massive springback binder, made in the style of the classic British stamp albums of the early part of the 1900s. I do not know the age of this example, but I am guessing it is from the 1930s or maybe 1940s. The main body is dark green, with black leather corners, and matching black leather quarter spine. Gold embossed on the spine -- the gold is still bright and shiny; it is probably real gold leaf. The spine is strong (springback binders are nearly indestructible) and in excellent condition. The spine leather shows a LITTLE bit of superficial wear; this very minor leather wear can certainly be easily restored (not a big deal) by a bookbinder experienced with these older leathers. (Do NOT try to do it yourself unless you truly know what you are doing.) Despite all those comments, it looks GREAT!. The pages are LINEN-HINGED BLANK pages! This is NOT a pre-printed edition. The pages are used and there are more and less hinge marks on the pages, but about half the pages look nearly unused. A full compliment of pages is present (probably 100+?). While pages of this age are not suitable (not properly pH buffered, etc.) for modern use, this is a classic -- and I believe fairly "RARE" -- edition of the album that is eminently collectible itself. This is an example of an item that is probably "worth" (in a preservation and historical sense) far more than its modest price.

New Zealand Scott Specialty Album Pages Set (2-Post): Scott Specialty complete set of 2-post pages complete from 1855 to 1976. This gently used set has NO writing on the pages. There are neat hinge marks in the spaces. Some spaces have black stamp mounts (that are actually lightly hinged into the spaces, NOT directly adhered) that can be used as is or can be easily removed. If you have Scott Specialty 3-ring binders, such pages can be 3-ring punched at a small, local print shop as long as you take in a sample of a page that is already 3-ring punched. Scott (Amos Advantage) offers 1855-1987 pages as a set for the regular NEW price of $74.72 or $63.51 for AA members. Thus this gently used set to 1976 should be a super deal at this low price.

Scott 3-Inch 2-Post Specialty Binder: This 3-inch, 2-post Specialty binder is "blank" without any imprinting. The binder is relatively modern with bright gold-stamped decoration. From the exterior the binder looks almost brand new. However, the interior end papers show silverfish (insect) damage. Those interior end papers could be covered over with contact paper (adhesive shelf paper) or something like that if it is objectionable. The binder itself is strong, with no other visible wear, and functions perfectly well. This style of binder is always in very strong demand for expansion space of existing collections.

Stanley Gibbons Oriel Album: Beautiful volume of the Stanley Gibbons "The Oriel Album" from the Golden Age of British stamp album making. This album, the only one found in an estate we purchased, is numbered "31" -- presumably from an important collection containing many such albums. The pages in the album were intended to be written up by hand; this is not a pre-printed type of album. This offer is of the BINDER plus a couple dozen older pages that are included at no additional cost. The pages are "FG" (Frank Godden) series pages. When I checked a couple years ago, I determined that new pages of this style, to fit this album, were still be available (though costing multiple dollars each) from Stanley Gibbons and/or other purveyors of fine British stamp albums. However, today I was not able to find them but I just did a superficial search. I would NOT recommend using these particular older pages in the binder unless you are trying to match color shade with pages of similar age. The pages were originally off-white but with age are now somewhat yellowed. If I had to guess, I would estimate that the binder and pages date from around 1930. The main binder covering is deep blue, with black leather (?) corners and matching black leather (?) quarter-spine, all with gold trim and gold spine embossing. All the gold elements are quite bright -- I suspect that they are made with real gold leaf, thus it does not tarnish. The binder end sheets are still present and match the inside-covers of the binder with gorgeous, real marbling. The binder is the Oriel two-post system. The quality of the binder is excellent -- I hope I look that good at that age. Accompanied by a properly fitting (dark green) slip case, likely also original. Though the SG website indicates it is not available, the posted (now obsolete I am sure) price for a new binder with 25 pages is in the range of $400! This is certainly a classic! Only recommended for clients who fully understand what this item is and have researched their options for obtaining more pages, etc. [If you are not interested in this album, but if you know of a source for new pages, please share that information with me so that I may pass it on to other clients.]

White Ace U.S. Stamp Album Binder and Slip Case: A very clean and attractive White Ace 3-ring album binder for U.S. stamps, titled in gold "POSTAGE STAMPS OF THE UNITED STATES", with White Ace slip case and basic sheet lifters. While this is not the most modern iteration of the product, it looks modern, but it is from before the slip cases were plastic (this is not plastic). This quality would surely cost at least $30-50 today. Excellent, gently used condition. Since White Ace discontinued operations, there has been significant demand for these classic binders -- if in excellent condition (which this is).

White Ace U.S. COMMEMORATIVE and AIRMAILS 1893-1968 Stamp Album: An attractive, used White Ace album for U.S. commemoratives and airmails 1893-1968. It is used, but in extremely clean condition. There are a couple of stamps still in it because they are stuck to the pages (in their correct spots), but otherwise it is super clean. A late 1960s edition, with only slight aging of the paper -- better than 95% of those I see from that era. The White Ace binder is super-solid and strong (they really knew how to make excellent binders), with bright gold embossing "POSTAGE STAMPS OF THE UNITED STATES". I would not be surprised if the binder was at least ten years newer than the pages. While there is NO slip case, it does come with really good White Ace sheet lifters which I think are much, much modern than the binder or pages. If you do, or want to, collect U.S. commemoratives and airs up to 1968, this would be an excellent but inexpensive housing for your collection. Since White Ace went out of business, an excellent example of this binder would easily fetch $20 by itself!

Group of SIX Full-Size Stockbooks -- NEW in Shrinkwrap: A group of SIX full-size (A4) bound stock books: Five of the six are UNI-SAFE brand marked "made in Holland" and are an excellent quality product. Those five have WHITE pages, 8 pages = 16 sides, with glassine rows and interleaving. Their bindings are in five different colors" black, red, blue, green, and brown. The sixth stockbook appears to be from the same maker/brand, but is not labeled with a brand name (at least not determinable without opening the shrinkwrap). It is also 8 pages = 15 sides, but has BLACK pages, with crystal-clear rows and glassine interleaving, green binding. Both types appear to be linen hinged. Note that I specify both the number of pages and the number of sides; other sources usually only state the number of pages; their "16 pages" is the same as our "8 pages = 16 sides". The typical new price these days for this style of stockbook is $20-22 each, thus $120-130 total for this group of SIX. These are BRAND-NEW from an estate, STILL IN THE SHRINKWRAP. Other than the price, There should be no difference between these and what you would receive if you ordered "new" from a supplies dealer. (This will fit, but without an additional padding or protection -- at your risk of damage, but it is pretty hard to damage these -- stuffed into a medium Priority Mail flat rate box for $18 within the U.S., including our handling charge. And you get useful U.S. STAMPS used on package!) You may not think you need six stockbooks, but you surely soon will. This is the maximum that will fit in the flat rate box, thus this is the cheapest way to ship them and maximizes the benefit of the postage cost.

Group of TWO Full-Size Stockbooks -- High Capacity -- Used: A group of TWO full-size (A4) high-capacity bound stock books, both USED. 1) Black binding KABE brand, 24-pages = 48 sides, black pages with crystal-clear rows, glassine interleaving. Binding just slightly padded. Good used condition with many years of life left in it. The rows seem to be in good shape. There is a LITTLE bit of writing on the pages in faint white writing -- I just tested and it EASILY erases. 2) Black binding LINDNER brand, 32-pages = 64 sides, white pages with glassine rows and interleaving. The binding is padded with a covering that looks like "alligator skin" and may even be some type of leather (??). Good, but older, used condition. The rows seem to be in good shape. I do NOT notice any writing on the pages, however, the extreme edges of the pages have slight aging from light handling. Either one of these will hold a LOT of stamps -- together they can get your stamps under control. New prices for these capacities and qualities would probably total $80 or more. (This will fit, but without an additional padding or protection -- at your risk of damage, but it is pretty hard to damage these -- stuffed into a medium Priority Mail flat rate box for $18 within the U.S., including our handling charge. And you get useful U.S. STAMPS used on package! This is the maximum that will fit in the flat rate box, thus this is the cheapest way to ship them and maximizes the benefit of the postage cost.)

22-Ring Binder, Brown: A 22-ring brown padded binder, without any brand labeling. 12 x 12 inches and 2 inches thick, thus can hold oversized pages. It does contain (only) a couple black plastic stock pages (again made for 22-ring binder) made by 20th Century Plastics, thus perhaps the binder is from them. Label holder on spine, but no imprinting. The benefit of so many rings is that it supports pages with heavy contents, whether photos, art or collectible items, coins, or thicker/heavier stamp items. Like-new condition. This would likely be at least $20 new these days. This would only be needed by somebody who uses 22-ring pages and would like expansion space. Very low price since I am not sure who made it or what pages are used with it. [Note that for mailing this will require a medium flat rate box for which the postage costs well more than the binder.]

Sheet and Document Album, Yellow-Green: Originally intended as a scrapbooking and memento album, made by Generations, this also makes an excellent album for documents and mint sheets (which was how the last owner used it). There are 10 double-sided pages with white inserts to prevent show-through that will hold 20 items. However, if you remove an insert you can see both sides of one item. The pages hold items up to about 11.75 x 11.75 inches, thus it is great for oversized sheets of stamps or large revenue or other documents. The binder is faux leather (really nice "brushed leather" type surface) with two screw-posts for expansion capacity (if you can locate expansion posts and refill pages). YELLOW GREEN BINDER in virtually-new condition (extremely gently used, briefly, for U.S. sheets). I have seen these offered at prices ranging from $20-$29, which is quite reasonable for this type and quality of album.

Fleetwood First Day Album, Maroon, with Slip Case: Brand new, never used Fleetwood maroon flip-style cover album titled in gold "First Day Covers of the United States". Handsome padded maroon album and matching padded slip case. Since Fleetwood sold their operation, such albums are in demand from collectors who want to continue in the same style albums. Flip-style cover albums have crystal-clear plastic sleeves mounted on a "wire" that allows the collector to "flip" through them easily and see both sides of each cover or insert covers back to back. This is brand new -- the sleeves have not yet been installed, though two are pre-installed so you can see how to do it (very simple!).

FREE: USPS Brown 23-Ring BINDER (American Commemorative Collections): FREE! This is an official United States Postal Service 23-ring binder that was offered to house Commemorative Panels and Souvenir Pages. Over the years the gold-foil naming/stamping on the spine and front varied a little as did the finish surface of the binder, but they have always been a slightly padded brown binder with gold foil stamping on the spine and front. They hold 9.75 x 11.5 inch (246 x 292 mm) pages. They are very useful for storing the intended items, as well as souvenir cards, large covers, documents, stocks and bonds, and other large items if you have a means to obtain (or punch/drill) some sort of pages to fit the binder. Gently used and will include sheet lifters to the extent I have them available. Only shipped within the U.S. This is FREE -- order as many as you like. You only pay for shipping, which varies by weight and destination (inquire for shipping cost, for your desired quantity and destination, if you wish to know in advance).
