United States: Canceled Sheets: Canceled Sheets - Postage Dues

These canceled sheets, souvenir sheets, and booklets, were canceled on controlled mail and in payment for postage due and postal fees. The illustrations are representative examples; the actual items will be at least as nice. All are in excellent quality. If you have looked for them, you know that such attractive canceled sheets, souvenir sheets, and booklets can be quite hard to obtain.

These canceled postage due sheets were canceled as bulk payment of postage due fees, usually business reply mail received by large organizations. These are a lot of fun and very dramatic appearing.

Scott #J83 [1931 (used 1931-1959) 5c Postage Due, Perf 11 x 10.5] TWO Used mostly-VF FULL SHEETS, stuck back to back. Canceled with a 1957 TENAFLY, NJ roller cancel. Both sheets plate #23148. A couple margin defects; two stamps damaged, but looks nice. Very dramatic.
