Boom #3.19, Facit #H11, AFA #2kr-4 [1937 Dybbøl Mill] NH VF complete booklet in wonderful, fresh quality. The cover has never been bent/creased (there are the usual couple minor dents from the staples of other booklets in the stack; this is expected). This booklet contains panes of Scott #B6-8, with accompanying one-each per pane 223a (two 223d panes), 229 (one 229b pane), and 238A Small Pearls (one 238Al pane). This is the only source for Scott #223a (the Gray Green 5 øre Numeral stamp). Just the in-demand two #223a and the one #238 Small Pearls stamps have a total actual selling price of $175! The 2021 AFA value for the booklet is DKK 1700 = about US$270 (12/2021). This booklets is often "well handled" but this example is very fresh. The panes in this example are all VF or better. [Images of the covers are of this specific example, but the images the of panes shown on website are generic panes, NOT from this particular example.]

Boom #3.19, Facit #H11, AFA #2kr-4 [1937 Dybbøl Mill] NH VF complete booklet in excellent quality. The cover has been slightly creased at the staple by somebody who opened the cover to look at the panes (however, this does not reduce the primary intrinsic value, which comes from the panes). Boom #3.19, Facit #H11, AFA #2kr-4 [1937 Dybbøl Mill] NH VF complete booklet in excellent quality. The cover has NOT been creased at the staple, however, there is a surface scuff at the upper right corner of the front cover. (However, this does not reduce the primary intrinsic value, which comes from the panes -- I can remove and sell the panes for more than this price!). This booklet contains panes of Scott #B6-8, with accompanying one-each per pane 223a (two 223d panes), 229 (one 229b pane), and 238A Small Pearls (one 238Al pane). 223d, 229b, 238Al Set [1937 Dybbøl Mill set of panes, see Scott #B6-8] Mint (lower stamps NH) VF/XF set of three 4-blocks (i.e. the booklet panes without the mounting tabs; this is the way they are shown in many albums). Extremely lightly hinged on the top two stamps only. 223d, the green 5 øre block, contains Scott #223a, the scarce grayish-green stamp; this is the only source of that stamp -- this example of 223a is NH XF. The brown 10 øre block contains the AFA Type IA / Facit Type II of Scott #229, the 10 øre brown Wavy-Line issue; a scarcer stamp -- this example is XF. The red 15 øre block contains Facit #227a, the "Fine pearls in crown", which is a scarce stamp in its own right -- this example is NH VF. While the 5 øre block is in great demand for the single Wavy-Line #223a stamp, the 15 øre block is actually much less often seen and the 10 øre block is greatly under-rated. Just those three stamps, not including the 9 semi-postal stamps, would sell individually for a total of $160 in this quality. The set is offered for just the price of those three stamps!

233 (German Paper) [1933 25 øre blue Caravel] Mint VF centered 4-Block, but without gum. Wonderful appearance! This stamp is one of only two (the other is the 30 øre orange) of the first engraving type that were issued only on the German Paper. Mint blocks of the German Paper stamps are scarce. This stamp is the key value of the set and the key value of the time period. Four Mint Hinged singles would sell for $336!

243 Reddish Violet [1934 5 kr Christian X] Used 4-BLOCK with XF-Superb centering and neat, centrally struck town cancellation. Since these high-denomination stamps were mostly used on parcel cards and registered letters (which were treated roughly), intact undamaged blocks are quite hard to find, especially of this color.

"NEPA / HORSENS 1936" SET OF TWO PAIRS: NH VF Stamp show overprint in RED in blank gutter above Scott #246 and in VIOLET above Scott #248 [1935 5 and 10 øre H.C. Andersen] The gutter results from the special sheet layout used to make booklet panes. The "overprint" pictures a white horse in front of a tree, the symbol for the city of Horsens, Denmark. The special booklet-making sheets from this stamp issue could be purchased by the public; the stamp show organizers printed their overprint, by typography / letterpress without official cooperation. A very popular, unusual in philately, and sought-after item. Though these NEPA items are seen from time to time, they are uncommon.

"NEPA / HORSENS 1936" ONE 10-BLOCK (w/five pairs): NH VF Stamp show overprint in VIOLET in blank gutter above Scott #248 [1935 10 øre H.C. A recent small find of these blocks seems to indicate that the overprinting plate printed only five at a time; each of the five positions has small, but unique, characteristics. I have not found any examples that do not match one of these five positions.
263 [1938 DFU Stamp Show Overprint] FULL SHEET with FIRST DAY stamp show cancellations neatly centrally canceling 25 4-blocks. Has a couple inconsequential separations in the bottom selvage, as always. Just valued as 25 canceled 4-blocks, the 2011 AFA value is DKK 4750 = $850 [1/2011]!! Quite spectacular appearance and very scarce!

TB 26 Brownish Violet - Brownish Shade (Facit #TB 297av) [10 øre Christian X Brownish Violet color of Scott #280] NH with XF-Superb centering. Tete-beche WITH GUTTER. This issue is special case: AFA only lists TB 26 as existing in one color (and TB 46 Light Violet, very rare), however, TB 26 exists in both very different Dark Violet and Brownish Violet colors. Furthermore, the latter can be divided into more-grayish vs more-brownish printings. This example is one of the more-brownish colors. AFA indicates that 2060 pairs were released, but this quantity must be divided between the Dark Violet and the two shades of the Brownish Violet colors!
