Booklets in the general category of "prestige" booklets typically have multiple pages of text and images in addition to the souvenir-sheet-like booklet pane(s). The booklets and their panes often have not been assigned Scott numbers because the booklets usually sold for a premium above face value beyond the limit that Scott allows. However, the booklets are avidly collected and the panes (souvenir sheets) are included in many European-made albums. The original issue prices of these booklets slowly increased over time. Some of the more recent booklets were very fast sell-outs and have become quite scarce, but the retail market prices have not yet caught up to the reality of scarcity. We can expect significant price increases on some of these over the next few years. [Updated 11/2021]
Facit accidentally omitted listings for 2016 & 2019; I have reported this to the editors (11/2021). From 2012-2015, Facit included the pane (souvenir sheet) listings in their stamp listings, but starting with 2016 they have not done so; this appears to be an accidental oversight and it has been reported to them (11/2021). EXPECT THE FACIT NUMBERS OF THESE BOOKLETS ISSUED AFTER 2014 TO CHANGE when the Facit Norden 2024 Catalog is issued in late fall of 2023.
NK numbers are not included in MY listing after 2017 simply due to my lack of a later issue of the NK catalog at the moment this was written. |

Norway's First Stamp 150th Anniversary. Large format (as the Danish prestige booklets), in a slip case. Includes the issued stamp and souvenir sheet PLUS four progressive color proofs for the souvenir sheet. Also includes SILVER replica of Norway's first stamp. Extensive text about stamps and stamp printing in Norwegian, English, and German. Was sold at a significant premium -- was quite costly to produce (!!); our landed cost in 2005 was $41. Though 10,000 were produced, they were distributed mostly individually and I am have never been aware of any wholesale stocks of them. I only have a few remaining from my original purchase; other than buying back clients's collections, I have never been able to buy one in the market. Since 2005, this has become quite scarce; it is rarely offered in the market. $90.00
