Great Britain / Canada / U.S. Cinderella: 1939 House of Seagram King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Good Will Tour to Canada and the U.S. Four panel folder containing a complete sheet tipped-in (adhered only be the very edge of the top selvedge) sheet of 18 British King and Queen labels. The labels are gummed (never hinged) with F-VF centering; each label bears gray backprint text "Compliments / of / The House / of Seagram". Has a U.S. 1939 (New York) copyright, but seems to have been distributed in the U.S. and Canada. A wonderful Cinderella item with the obvious alcohol topic connection, but the front of the folder also includes topics of: Arctic, tropics, sled dogs, Western wagon train, modern railway locomotive, sailing ships, early settlements, North American Indians, Military officers, settlers, etc. As of 5 November 2022, I have seen individual singles (sometimes without gum) sell for $1-2 each, and I am aware of one complete folder (with labels) that the owner paid about $100 for. I have not noticed any sales of the full sheets from the folder. This seems to be a "scarce" item.

VF: Julemanden 1952 TB Christmas Seal SINGLE. An unusual type of Christmas seals, that had different designs in 1951-1955, which are avidly sought by collectors of Greenland. Listed in the DAKA GF 7 Greenland Cinderella Catalog 1999 (most recent edition). Daka states that the idea for the seals was British; they were issued by the Anglo Danish [Sanatorium] Scheme for British Children jointly by the Anglo Danish Society and the NAPT, the National Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis in England. The seals were to be affixed to letters with Christmas wishes addressed to Santa Claus, the North Pole. Under the arrangement, such mail was to be sent to Greenland! "Julemanden" [the Yule Man or the Christmas Man] is a reference to Santa Claus. Singles are "scarce" -- I am only rarely able to offer examples of these seals.
