18 [1975 350 oyru Scenic Painting by Eyvindur Mohr] Single on unaddressed FDC with "N" (Norden) cachet. SIGNED BY THE PAINTING ARTIST. This is the only example of an item signed by Mohr that I have seen or had. Mohr passed away in 2005, thus I do not anticipate that there are many such items in collections. |

22 [1976 160 oyru Faroe Flag] Single on FDC with Bechsgaard cachet. The name and address was printed at the same time as the cachet, thus this is technically unaddressed. Serially numbered. "SANDVIK pr. TVØROYRI" village cancellation. This style of FDC was made with cancellations at various (perhaps all?) villages -- it would be fun to try to find more of them. While it is hard to think of such an item as "scarce", it has been almost 50 years since this was issued and I have only had three or four of these particular covers (canceled at various villages). |
