1905 Perforated ("K"ARITAS) with Medium Gray overprint on falcon. NEVER HINGED with Superb centering. Upper right corner sheet margin single seal from the sheet of four, with the interior gutter selvage also still present at the left and bottom. The sheets of four of this 1905 issue always had a horizontal and vertical gutter, with extra an extra row and column of perforations, thus allowing an example like this to exist. Only one single like this, with the interior gutter selvage present, could exist from the sheet of four because it takes away the interior gutter selvage from the other three stamps. Each of the four seals in the sheet of four have small differences in the falcon design and the lettering. It is very unusual to find a single with interior gutter selvage still present. An exceptional example! ACTUAL item. |

1905 Perforated ("K"ARITAS) with Dark Gray overprint on falcon. NEVER HINGED on the seal, but light hinge mark in the top selvage, with XF centering. Upper left corner sheet margin single seal from the sheet of four. Each of the four seals in the sheet of four have small differences in the falcon design and the lettering. On every example of an upper left single or the full sheet that I have seen, the upper left position (this position) is especially distinctive with a much darker-printed (much thicker lines) falcon and also with a vertical line on the shoulder of the falcon. An extremely nice example! ACTUAL item. |
