| Ziehr stamp cards were originally issued 1895-1914 by Ottmar Zieher an art dealer and post card publisher in Munich (Bavaria) Germany. The cards were first issued with embossed simulated perforations. Multiple printings over the years have different color shades, etc.; carefully compare for possible differences. The cards were reprinted ca.1920, but as the embossing plates had been melted down during WWI, the reprints do not have the embossed simulated perforations (they are still very much sought after). Used cards, especially used from the country whose stamps are pictured, are very scarce. | ||||||||
