1558 S/S "Posten / Bring" Standard officially issued Personalized Souvenir Sheet of two stamps. "View REPRESENTATIVE Image"){kind=small} |
VF: Norway has the distinction of creating what I believe to be the first souvenir sheet of "Standard Personalized Stamps" containing more than one stamp design. This was issued in autumn 2008 and contains two stamps (same frame design) with two different logos for Posten and Bring. The designs mark the division of Norway Post into two parts: Posten - what we think of as the standard "post office" and Bring - a package delivery, freight, and logistics company (similar to USPS in the U.S., but owned by the government). Only 275,000 (Scott says 375,000) of this souvenir sheet were printed and distributed free of charge to people in Oslo and other cities around Norway, sometimes in post offices, but also given away to people on the street. Because the souvenir sheet was NOT sold to collectors and distribution was wide, but one to a person, these souvenir sheets are extremely difficult to obtain. This is listed by Scott, but not yet by Facit or NK -- many collectors still do not know that it exists. [233002] |

Norway 2021 Complete Used In The Strips/Pairs As Issued: The complete set of Norway 2021 stamps in USED (CANCELED) condition as listed by Scott. This is a post-office-sold set of the canceled stamps of the year, Scott #1912-1934, consisting of 21 stamps and two souvenir sheets. Except for the souvenir sheets, all the stamps of the year are self-adhesive -- the 21 stamps are in 9 horizontal pairs/strips, as issued for year sets/packs. The total 2024 Scott value is $135.75. The total individual retail value in this format (INTACT pairs/strips, and the souvenir sheets) is about $125. (Single used stamps from these issues have not yet reached the market in enough quantity to satisfy demand, so the retail value as singles is nearly the same.) If you collect used, these are the formats most likely needed for your album. It is now very seldom that I can offer these canceled intact items from such a recent year.
