In the United States, Scott numbers (Sc#) are often used for DWI stationery, however, Scott does not have complete listings, especially for the envelopes. Facit numbers (F#) are most commonly used and Facit values are the most realistic in my opinion. Ringstrom numbers (R#) are also used; Ringstrom is the stationery catalog for Danish stationery (as well as DWI, Iceland, Slesvig).
All items are available for viewing on approval. I have a large and constantly changing stock of mint and used DWI postal stationery of all types: single and double cards, and envelopes. What are you seeking?
Danish West Indies postal stationery envelopes are fully identified in the specialized catalogs according to: a) whether the bottom flap is over or under the side flaps; b) the watermark type visible on the envelope top flap; and c) the color (or color shade) of the indicia. There can also be differences in the thickness and texture of the paper. The watermark usually appears tilted to the right or to the left (as viewed with the flap unfolded, or as it would be if the flap were unfolded, from the FRONT of the envelope). Other varieties can include doubling of the watermark and offset prints of the indicia (on the backside of the indicia, inside the envelope). [The tilt of the watermark is viewed from the front of the envelope, or as if from the front, because many collectors choose to mount their envelopes with the top flap unfolded (i.e. open) so both the front of the envelope and the watermark can be viewed at the same time.]
The Scott Catalogue only assigns major numbers to two envelopes (and sub-numbers to one additional color of each). However, all the major specialized and other postal stationery catalog listings recognize the four different watermarks. There are three different watermark types (shapes) on the 2 cents and four different watermarks on the 3 cents envelopes. The different watermark types are well illustrated by Facit, Ringstrom, and Engstrom (DWI Mails Volume II), as well as in other postal stationery listings.
I usually have a large selection of these envelopes in stock, even though (due to lack of time) few or none may be shown on the website at any particular moment. Please let me know of your interests.

Envelope Facit #8, Ringstrom #7, Engstrom #7B (B=orange) (Watermark Subtype IIIa - narrow), Scott #U2 [3 Cent Orange, Watermark III (small ball, connected by lines, thin petals)] Clear Orange, Used with nice overall appearance, but paper loss in upper left corner and on back from there somewhat. Postmarked from CHRISTIANSTED (appears to be 17 August) 1898 to "Bassin / St. Croix". "Bassin" refers to Christiansted, especially the around the harbor. Additionally handstamped in magenta with the name of a company (Lugo) located in St. Thomas. I suspect that this was intended for onward personal carriage to the St. Thomas address (even though there would have been no cost savings), but I am not sure -- and I do not recall previously seeing this type of double addressing on DWI mail. It could also be that the sender was a representative on St. Croix, of the Lugo company, who simply did not know where to properly stamp a return address. Interesting. Extremely clear watermark. Facit 2022 value SEK 1200.
