Iceland: Booklets: Most Recent

All are NH VF in fresh condition and completely intact, as issued.

Some Icelandic booklets contain individual stamps that are the same as individual stamps from sheets, however the panes in the booklets were specially printed for booklets and are thus in formats that could not have come from the regular sheet stamps.

The souvenir sheet in this booklet is a "major number in the catalogs" and was only issued in this booklet. I predict that it will become quite scarce. The First Printing of 5,000 booklets (out of a total of 10,000) sold out quickly and is scarce. First Printing: the binding "tape" very rough and a little shiny; the rouletting between the souvenir sheet and the binding tab is very fine / frequent, like the Third Printing.	29.00	---
202888	2002 Fish booklet/souvenir sheet (Second Printing), special booklet containing Fish souvenir sheet. VF: 2002 Fish booklet/souvenir sheet issue. The souvenir sheet in this booklet is a "major number in the catalogs" and was only issued in this booklet. I predict that it will become quite scarce. This Second Printing was only of 3,000 booklets (out of 10,000 total); the Second Printing was not announced and seems to have mostly been sold to tourists, not to stamp collectors. Second Printing: the binding is "tape" smooth (still a little roughness), like the Third Printing; the rouletting between the souvenir sheet and the binding tab is coarser / less frequent than either the First or Third Printings.	35.00	35.00

The straight-edge stamps (four Facit BB pairs and one corner-cut Facit DD pair) are considered completely different stamps from the sheet stamps and will be in all European-made albums. I expect this booklet to quickly increase in price; most Christmas booklets sell out very quickly (for normal use mailing cards) and this will sell out long before most collectors realize that they need two pairs (thus the entire booklet) for their album.	17.50	19.50
