2-5 [1856-1857 Oscars] The set of the four 1924 OFFICIAL REPRINTS of the Oscars. Mint VF with partial/disturbed gum still present as a result of extremely careful removal from their page in the 1924 handbook (examples with full, undisturbed gum should not exist in private hands). These 1924 reprints have color shades different from the scarcer 1914 reprints; these 1924 colors are: Dull Yellowish Orange (instead of Dark/Bright Orange); Dark Silvery Gray (instead of Greenish Light Gray); Blackish Blue (instead of slightly greenish Dark Blue); Dark Brownish Red (instead of Light Brownish Red). I have only had three or four sets of these in 40 years and this must be the nicest looking set that I have had, and probably the only one with any gum remaining.

1, 2-5, 15 [1855 Number One, 1856-57 Oscars, 1867 8 Skill 8 Coat of Arms] The COMPLETE SET of six 1924 OFFICIAL REPRINTS. Mint VF still affixed to the original 1924 Handbook page, as they were all issued. These 1924 reprints have color shades different from the even scarcer 1914 reprints. The 1924 #1 is Deep Blackish Blue (instead of Dark Greenish Blue). The 1924 Oscar colors are: Dull Yellowish Orange (instead of Dark/Bright Orange); Dark Silvery Gray (instead of Greenish Light Gray); Blackish Blue (instead of slightly greenish Dark Blue); Dark Brownish Red (instead of Light Brownish Red). The 1924 #15 is slightly orangish Red (instead of Carmine). In total, I have only had four or five complete sets of these (not all members of the sets at the same time) in 41 years. This is certainly among the nicest looking that I have had.
