Slesvig: 1-14 Complete matching lower right corner margin IMPERFORATE set, ungummed (gum was never applied), on cross-watermarked stamp paper of normal thickness. The margins show the "bearing lines" design -- these lines were intended to take the weight of the press impression so that the edge stamps would not get damaged or worn down. Though the 2016 AFA Specialized Catalog does not list any unoverprinted imperforates, it does list the set of "MAK" ("canceled") 14 imperforate stamps NH for DKK 2500. While these could be proofs, the known proofs I have seen have not been on watermarked stamp paper. I did have a similar set (marginal, but not corner margin stamps) a few years ago that was accompanied by a 1995 Danmarks Filatelist Forbund certificate stating that they were imperforate (i.e. not proofs). An exceptionally scarce and beautiful set in wonderful quality.

Slesvig: 1-14 Complete bottom margin IMPERFORATE set, most gummed NH, on cross-watermarked stamp paper of normal thickness. The margins show the "bearing lines" design -- these lines were intended to take the weight of the press impression so that the edge stamps would not get damaged or worn down. With "MAK" ("canceled") overprints (once on the small stamps, twice on the large stamps). The 2016 AFA Specialized Catalog states that the "MAK" ("canceled") stamps are proofs, however proofs are not usually gummed... All but four are gummed, NH. The 20 pf, 75 pf, and 2 mk are ungummed (never have been gummed). The 5 mk is without gum, but may have once had gum (and bottom margin shorter, otherwise whole set matches). Both of the blue 20 pf and 2 mk STAMPS ARE DOUBLE PRINTED. The MAK is inverted on the 2.5 pf, 1 mk, and 5 mk. It is inverted and tripled on the 5 pf. The 2016 AFA Specialized Catalog lists the imperforate MAK overprinted set NH for DKK 2500 and Hinged for DKK 1500. A beautiful set in wonderful quality.

1-14 complete set, VF to Fine (the two top values are F-VF) on large piece of paper with 14 March 1920 Flensburg cancellations. This was a souvenir of a very important day -- this was the day that the Plebiscite Election was held in Zone II (the southern zone) with the result that the zone became German. Priced about the same as a used set.
