Swedish proofs are generally very scarce and are seldom offered. Whether they are used to add "spice" to a collection or to document the development of a stamp issue, they are quite interesting, attractive, and difficult to obtain.
Scott numbers (of the basic stamps) have been used unless otherwise indicated. All items are available for viewing on approval.
Scott #79, Facit #81 [8 øre Gustav V in Round Frame] Imperforate color plate proof in brown. Vertical pair with full bottom sheet margin, ungummed (was never gummed). Partial print: the lower stamp is only faintly printed, probably from inadequate plate inking. Proofs of the 8 øre value are quite scarce; I cannot remember previously being able to offer any other 8 øre proofs. This was probably a color trial proof -- the color appears to be that of the issued 30 øre stamp. A spectacular item!

Scott #80, Facit #82 [10 øre Gustav V in Round Frame, without watermark] Imperforate color plate proof in reddish brown. Upper right corner margin 4-block with full sheet margins, ungummed (was never gummed). Strong impression, stunning appearance. I cannot remember previously being able to offer any examples of this color proof. This was probably a color trial proof -- the color appears to be that of the issued 15 øre stamp. A spectacular item!
