Czeslaw Slania Study Group (USA) membership card for 2005. Includes (in a clear stamp mount) U.S. Veterans of WWI Slania-engraved stamp with private "overprint" of Slania signature and "1921-2005". Though the signature at first looks handwritten, both parts are printed on the stamp. Slania passed away March 17, 2005. [Note to philatelists who might get ideas: This type of private overprinting on U.S. stamps is very much against regulations and perhaps law.] Though I was certainly a Slania Study Group member at this time, I do not recall getting such a card and this is the first example that I can recall seeing. |

Though I was certainly a Slania Study Group member at this time, I do not recall getting such a card and this is the first example that I can recall seeing. |
