The flight is listed by Daka GF5 1999 as #1.1. The route was København, Prestwick (Glasgow, Scotland), Keflavik (Iceland), Narssarssuaq (Bluie West One airbase); then carried (not sure if by boat or dog sled) to Julianehaab, received on 9 May.

November 29, 1949 experimental flight card from Greenland to Denmark, franked with 5 and 10 øre First Issue stamps and bearing Greenland official mail "GRØNLANDS STYRELSE" cancellation (Daka GF6 1997 #152.Bro.02: DKK 600 on "normal" cover). The flight is listed by Daka GF5 1999 as #1.3, however, that listing is for "1949-1950 subsequent experimental flights" of which there does not seem to be any specific listing in the literature. Also bears unusual red SAS "BLUIE WEST 1" handstamp. Scarce cover!

November 15, 1954 SAS First Regular Service from Los Angeles to København to Los Angeles. Flown on the Greenland-Denmark leg of flight. Official SAS "Scandinavia - Denmark" cachet picturing SAS flag, globe, and both the direct over-the-pole shorter route and a dotted line representing the longer route if flights were instead west across the Atlantic: Version with greenish blue color and WITH "SAS/DA NR. 4" letters/numbers at lower left. Franked with Greenland Scott #7 [1938 30 øre Polar Bear]. "SDR. STRØMFJORD" special SAS flight cancellation. "GRØNLANDS POSTKONTOR / KØBENHAVN K." 16 November 1954 (when all this incoming mail was canceled) receiving postmark on reverse, applied at the office of the Greenland Post Office in Denmark before onward carriage to Lyngby, Denmark. The 30 øre franking was correct for the postage rate to Denmark (this was not actual postal-rated airmail at the time).

November 15, 1954 SAS First Regular Service from Los Angeles to København to Los Angeles. Flown on the Greenland-Denmark leg of flight. Privately mailed (philatelic) wide-size envelope. This would have been somehow sent to Greenland under cover, and then mailed from Greenland on the flight. Official SAS "POSTER ADVERTISING LABEL applied: "first over the pole" picturing SAS flag, globe, and both the direct over-the-pole shorter route and a thinner line representing the longer route if flights were instead west across the Atlantic: This label is not often seen. Franked with 3x of Greenland Scott #4 [1938 10 øre King] with some staining. "SDR. STRØMFJORD" special SAS flight cancellation. "GRØNLANDS POSTKONTOR / KØBENHAVN K." 16 November 1954 (when all this incoming mail was canceled) receiving postmark on reverse, applied at the office of the Greenland Post Office in Denmark before onward carriage to Hellebæk, Denmark. The 30 øre franking was correct for the postage rate to Denmark (this was not actual postal-rated airmail at the time). The cover was roughly opened and has some spots on the reverse, however, this type of privately sent cover is remarkably scarce for this flight; most of the covers were officially arranged by SAS.
