Greenlandic Trade Certificates -- WWII-era money. "Grønlands Administration" Handels Værdimærke or Trade Certificate. Issued in 1942 under the (American) Military Administration of Greenland. Denominated in Skilling though no such currency was actually in use in Greenland or Denmark. Heavy high quality yellowish-white paper sometimes showing a watermark: double-line letters 2-line forming an oval "ADIRONDACK LEDGER" and below that in smaller single-line letters "MADE IN U.S.A." Set of three listed as: PM 8 1 Skilling Red; PM 9 5 Skilling Blue; PM 10 20 Skilling Green. Watermark showing on 1 Skilling (nearly complete) and 5 Skilling.
