Literature: Scandinavia: Danish West Indies
These gently used books and catalogs are a great way to build your philatelic knowledge and library. All items are used and in at least "good" condition unless otherwise mentioned. I am constantly purchasing philatelic libraries, thus if there is anything you are seeking, please let me know. I guarantee your satisfaction.

Due to the low prices, variations in weight, and different mailing methods, distances, and destinations, shipping cost is additional for items in the Specials Literature listings unless otherwise mentioned. When ordering please include a note in the shopping cart comments section indicating if you prefer faster/costlier or slower/cheaper delivery so that I may more quickly quote the shipping costs and options for you.

Each item is usually one of a kind; orders will be filled in order of receipt. Payment by MasterCard or Visa suggested, but I will hold items for 10 days pending receipt of check if you prefer.

Illustrations of books in the Specials section may show representative images and not the exact item. If you hover your mouse pointer over a picture, you should see a small message box stating if the image is representative or of the exact item.

DAKA 1997 Danish West Indies Classic Catalog and Handbook: (1996; DAKA Handbog 1997 Dansk Vestindien - St. Thomas) This is the first, last, and only edition of this extremely useful pocket-size book. The 1997 edition separated DWI from the Denmark editions and significantly improved / expanded the listings. COMPLETE ENGLISH and Danish text (with pricing in Danish Kroner). An essential reference for all DWI stamp issues, postal history, usages, postmarks, foreign post office mails, pre-stamp, etc. It might be easy to assume that such a small book must not be useful, but the opposite is true. It is absolutely packed with information that would be very hard to find even in ten combined other sources. A full speciailzed catalog of all the stamp issues, all the postal markings including foreign post offices in DWI, postal history of all eras, plus other areas such as shipping company stamps, revenues, Christmas seals, etc. This little book is seldom offered in the marketplace because no serious collector of DWI would let go of their copy unless they had completely sold their collection. This example is gently used, with just some minor cover scuffing, and with NO markings or notations. A must-have reference, for any DWI collector, but especially for DWI postal history collectors.
