1993 Frefil 93. Kongsten Fort 1985 design; reproduces Scott #860 with printed "cancellation" (only exists in this form) and progressive color proofs of the stamp design. The card bears the official logo of the post office, however, the card was not authorized by the post office. Because of this, sales of the card were stopped early in the show and the card was withdrawn before fewer than 300 had been sold [I have heard quantities sold as low as only 100]. Most of the sales may have been to mailorder buyers to whom cards had been mailed before the show opening. Certainly one of the rarest "regularly issued" Norwegian souvenir cards. |
