328, 282 (VF) [120 öre St. Birgitta / Bridget, 60 öre 3-Crowns] on 22 October 1942 airmail cover from BREDARYD to the U.S. Marked "via England" and thus would have been carried via the secret night flights from Sweden to Scotland. Bears only American censor tape; it is very odd that it was not (also) censored by the British. The 120 öre Birgitta stamp is extremely scarce on cover [envelope] (no genuine, properly paid, solo usage covers have ever been recorded). A wonderful cover that will grace any collection.

284, 302A coil-end stamp (VF) [90 öre 3-Crown and 15 öre coil Gustaf V definitive] on 19 November 1942 airmail cover from LILLA ESSINGEN (Stockholm area) to the U.S. Bearing the required endorsements "Via England" and also "Via Great Britain" for airmail routing and "Written in English" for the censors. British "PC90" censor tape of a slightly unusual type. Sent by "S. Drimmer" (likely a European Jewish refugee staying with a Swedish family) to the "Transmigation [sic] Bureau of the American Jewish Joint Dist. Committee". A wonderful historical cover documenting this terrible time and the kindness of Swedes who tried to help. I have only seen a few examples of Scandinavian-origin covers to this organization.
