Faroe: (TR)ANGISVAAG (Daka #02.04; bridge style) June 1903 town cancellation neatly struck on Denmark Scott #50 [1898 50 øre Bicolor, Small Crown Watermark, Normal Frame]. The stamp has Fine+ centering, but with a crease that is hard to see from the front. The cancel is F-VF+, perfectly upright and with almost the complete date, but the cancel device was so large that only three-quarters of it will fit on a stamp. Scarcer use; the higher-face-value stamps are seldom found used in the Faroes. This cancellation device was used 1899-1933, but early uses such as this 1903 are seldom found. Very attractive.
