Scott #162 [1930 50 aur Parliament; Leader and Crowd] Mint, Space Filler. Superb centering, but the gum is either badly regummed or is heavily disturbed and brownish original gum, also with a small amount of that brownish gum on front at upper right. Also with a couple small thin spots. I am not sure what happened to this stamp, but it is priced very low now. This is the second-highest-priced key value of the set and if this were in proper Mint VF quality it would be $97.50. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #164 [1930 2 kr Parliament / Althing: Farm, Countryside] Mint with VF-XF centering, but with only minor gum disturbance in the hinge area where somebody probably removed a hinge remnant. This really is not much different than a Mint Hinged stamp, but I felt it needed to be explained. Wonderfully fresh and attractive looking, with brilliant color and terrific centering. Otherwise a Mint VF lightly hinged example would be $110. This example offers some savings while still being a perfectly sound stamp. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #165 [1930 5 kr Parliament / Althing: Woman Spinning Yarn] Mint, hinge remnant, with Average centering. There is a pre-printing paper bend (not a full fold and mostly only visible from the back side), which would be an unusual type of variety for this stamp issue. Technically this stamp does not have any post-production "defects", but the centering is way off. Still, this looks very fresh and bright. Very fresh and bright. For value comparison purposes, a Mint hinged VF example would be $70 and a Mint hinged Fine example would be $36. This is price very low! ACTUAL item. |
