Scott numbers have been given for these listings. If you would prefer to examine the stamps before purchasing, or you are any seeking stamps (or any condition or any quality) not listed here, please send your want list using your choice of Scott or Facit numbers.
Unless there is a 6-digit item number in the left-most column, the images shown in this section are standard images of the issues from my image library; they are presented to show the designs of the stamp issues and not to show the specific individual stamps being offered. The centering of the stamps in the images is usually Superb or VF quality; again these are not images of the individual stamps being offered. Most early stamps had multiple printings, thus color shades vary greatly; the colors in the images are random printings/colors. If there is a 6-digit item number in the left-most column, the image is of the actual item being offered.
All the listed conditions and qualities were in stock at the moment this list was prepared and I endeavor to maintain them in stock and to keep this website updated. However, my stock changes daily and (to paraphrase) good stamps are hard to find. If you are willing to accept a different grade or quality if an item is temporarily out of stock, please let me know when ordering (add a comment at the conclusion of the shopping cart process) and please also let me know of any alternates you will consider. Furthermore, new stamps are being put in stock every day; if the quality and/or condition you are seeking is not listed, please send your want list.
The publication of this list is a "first effort" in quite a long time. It surely includes a few errors; I will be grateful if you would inform me of any errors. Stamps "missing" from the list simply might not be included because they are not in stock or are singles which are normally only listed in full sets. Just the same if it seems like something obvious (and not a single from a set) is missing, please let me know. If you can offer for sale items that are not listed here, please do so; I especially need sources of pre-1940 mint (hinged or never hinged) stamps and recent used complete sets. Prices are subject to typographical error and change, but I will do my best to honor the listed prices to the extent of available stock.

Scott #178 [1932 4 aur Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] Used with SUPERB CENTERING and a very light, neat, correct, face-free, postal cancellation. Wonderfully fresh and bright with great color, "perfect" perforations, and "perfect" centering! While Used examples of this stamp with typical F-VF centering are common, examples with centering and overall appearance this nice are seldom offered. This is certainly the nicest Used example I have had in quite a while.

Scott #178 [1932 4 aur Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] Used with VF centering and a neat smaller town ("...NGI") (6 or 16 or 26) September 1934 postal cancellation. Wonderfully fresh and bright with great color. Examples of the stamps of this set canceled outside of Reykjavik are remarkably unusual.

Scott #181 [1932 10 aur King Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] Mint, lightly hinged, with SUPERB CENTERING. Wonderfully fresh and bright with great color, "perfect" perforations, "perfect" centering, and "pristine" (lightly hinged) original gum. This stamp is "remarkably scarce" even in Mint Hinged condition, but such nicely centered examples are "extremely scarce". This is the nicest Mint example I have been able to offer in a long time.

Scott #182 [1932 25 aur Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] NEVER HINGED, original gum, with XF centering. Wonderfully fresh and bright with fantastic color, "perfect" perforations, "almost perfect" centering, and overall post-office-fresh condition. While this 25 aur stamp is not very scarce in Mint Hinged condition, it is "quite scarce" in NH condition. Furthermore, Hinged or NH examples of this stamp are extremely difficult to find with nice centering. The centering and overall appearance of this example are exceptional and it is certainly one of the nicest, if not the nicest, NH examples that I have had in 52 years!

Scott #184 [1932 40 aur Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] NEVER HINGED, original gum, with SUPERB CENTERING. Wonderfully fresh and bright with fantastic color, "perfect" perforations, "perfect" centering, and overall post-office-fresh condition. There is a very tiny natural paper inclusion speck at the edge of the portrait frame in the upper left quadrant -- however, that does not diminish the appearance or rarity of this stamp. This stamp is accompanied by a Jay Smith color image certificate with a "lifetime guarantee" (my life). (Details of the guarantee are available upon request.) While this stamp is "very scarce" in NH condition (the 2026 Scott NH value is $1100 for typical F-VF centering), in my experience, examples with centering this nice are "rare". This certainly must be the best centered NH example that I have had in my 52 year career!

This is one of the three equal-value "keys" to this set, on par, Mint, with the 2 kr and 10 kr. For comparison, an example in this centering with gum would be $135 and if it were F-VF with gum, it would sell for $230!

Scott #185 [1931 1 kr Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] Lower left corner margin Plate #450G example in NEVER HINGED condition with F-VF centering. Wonderfully fresh and bright with great color, "perfect" perforations, and "pristine" original gum! Even though plate number singles (or blocks) of this stamp are "very scarce", NH examples of this stamp are already so scarce that the presence of the plate number does not really add much to the price of stamp -- but it does add greatly to the scarcity and attractiveness! A "normal" NH single example with this centering would be $108.

Scott #186 [1931 2 kr Christian X, Redrawn Portrait] Mint, original gum, extremely lightly hinged, XF Fine centering, however the gum is slightly aged (yellowed). The hinge mark is so light that you might think it was never hinged. Very fresh and bright with great color, extremely nice perforations, and wonderful centering. This stamp is "scarce" in both Mint and Postally Used condition, especially with such nice centering, and is missing from many Iceland collections. This XF centering would otherwise be $325!

The hinge mark is so light that the previous owner thought it was never hinged. Very fresh and bright with great color.
