166 KPV Watermark, Facit #152C bz [1920 20 öre Gustav II Adolf, Perf 4-sides] NEVER HINGED with Average centering, the perforations just cutting the design at left, but with one short perforation (very typical for this issue). Large portion of letters watermark. Appears to be the Ulmarish Blue color (Facit 152Ca bz). (Facit KPV value, for all colors, is SEK 500 for NH = US$60 9/2021.) |

170 KPV watermark, Facit 2022 #179AeBz = Facit 2020 #179Afbz [1921 20 öre Violet Gustaf V Profile] Used with Fine centering, but heavily damaged on the right side. An example of the scarce DULL ULMARISH VIOLET on "B" paper with KPV watermark. The watermark shows "GL"; the position is inverted-reversed (upside down and reading left to right while upside down). There are two possible colors of this stamp -- both of which are very difficult to obtain; the catalog value of the other color is four times the catalog value of this color. The Facit 2022 catalog value of this color is SEK 500, but it is very difficult to obtain!. This example is one of three from the same original source, all with the same cancellation, two of which are certainly on the same day. Between the three stamps, the cancellation is confirmed to have the letters FR...IKA (about 7-9 letters total), which can only be FREDRIKA, dated 3 November 1921. This watermark variety is quite "scarce" -- but in very poor quality -- at a very low price. [The website image includes a color-comparison sliver of the other color.] |
