These bargain-priced stamps are attractive, but most have lesser centering or perhaps hidden flaws. You can save a tremendous amount of money when you add such stamps to your collection. Each stamp is one of a kind, so please let me know if I may substitute a different example (that looks as good or better, for the same cost) if the stamp you order has sold. If you have any doubts, all are available for approval viewing. This is just a small sampling, thus if you are seeking stamps of this quality and price level from any of the Scandinavian countries, just send along your want list -- I will be happy to send bargains on approval. Scott numbers have been used unless otherwise stated.

J19 GRAY VIOLET [1877 24 öre Postage Due, Perf 13; 1882 Printing] NEVER HINGED with Average centering. Very fresh with very unusual deep color. This stamp is almost always poorly centered; this centering is fairly typical. Facit 2014 NH value for typical centering (which this is for this stamp) is SEK 4500 = $720. This scarce major-number color-difference stamp is missing from the vast majority of collections in any quality or centering; NH examples are extremely scarce!

J19 GRAY VIOLET (Facit L17a) [1877 24 öre Postage Due, Perf 13; 1882 Printing] Mint with F-VF centering, without gum. Remarkably well centered for this particular stamp (the perforations usually cut the design). In some respects this is one of the scarcest Swedish stamps -- it is often easier to obtain a #1 than an example of #J19! With gum, this example would easily fetch $250 and there would be a line of people wanting to buy it! Very fresh and attractive.
