32 [1877 12 öre Ringtype, Perf 13] Used Fine, with attractive, though light, well centered, and nearly complete SHIP MAIL CANCELLATION: "ÅNGBÅTS PXP No 58" 14 June 1881. While route 58 operated from 1875 into 1928, it was used on two different ships and 12 different route variations -- during 1880-1882, it was used aboard the ship "Oskarshamn" on the route "Oskarshamn-Kalmar, Oskarshamn-Verkebäck (including Öland). Facit Postal IX (2015) values all routes before 1888 at SEK 500. Scarce and attractive! |

Typical centering for the issue, but with nicer than usual perforations (which are normally irregular prior to 1858). Beautifully postmarked example with very nice impression. A hansome example without any defects (due to the very thin paper, most examples are defective). Facit 2014 SEK 7500 = $1200 for typical example. |

Denmark Scott #35 [1882 5 øre Arms with Small Corner Numerals, Perf 14 x 13.5] Used with F-VF+ centering and neat SWEDISH RAILWAY cancellation (likely resulting from Danish-Swedish railway-ferry traffic), but with tiny thin spot. Very attractive example, with great dark yellow-green color, clearly showing the features of this Small Corner Numerals stamp (including the gap between the oval and top and bottom frame lines). A scarcer stamp that would otherwise be $100 with this centering, with a normal cancellation. An unusual example! |
