Iceland #17a [1882 20 aur Ultramarine, Perforation 14] Used F-VF centered example Danish 3-ring numeral cancellation. The number is not readable, but is two or three digit, making is much scarcer than the typical #1 cancel. Danish numeral cancellations are occasionally seen on previously uncanceled ship mail sent to Denmark, but not often on this stamp. With a normal Icelandic postmark, this F-VF stamp is $270!

O48 [1930 2 kr Christian X Official] and a 9-block of Scott #231 [1945 10 kr Viking, Perf 14] on piece of 28 July 1945 INSURED parcel wrapping from REYKJAVIK to Miklabę. The official stamp and a couple of the 10 kr stamps are damaged, however, the official stamp is rare on any sort of cover (2011 Facit value SEK 9000 on cover) and the 10 kr stamps are also scarce on cover (2011 Facit SEK 1200). Even the pink "V" insured label is seldom seen. Furthermore, it is extremely rare to find a cover or piece bearing any combination of official and regular stamps. If this were a full cover, or at least a full parcel wrapping, it would easily sell for more than $2000, however, I very much doubt that such an item exists. As it is, it is attractive and rare -- probably unique.

Facit #H7N Panes respectively Inverted, Inverted, Upright. All perforation C2. : Slate Blue cover, cover type N (with "SIFFIUBUD" over to left). Fish-design panes in 5-strips: 5 aur Brown, 10 aur Gray, 25 aur Red Brown. H7N exists with any of the three panes upright or inverted and any of the panes having perforation type C2 (narrow side corner perf at top) or C3 (wide side corner perf at top). I have only had a total of four H7N booklets in 38 years and I believe that this is the only one I have had with this pane orientation and perforation combination. Facit 2011 value SEK 7500 = $1200! Wonderfully fresh. A superb example.
